Boschendal today proudly announced that its Boschendal Méthode Cap Classique Brut has been named one of the top ten sparkling wines in the international Effervecents du Monde awards. The MCC Brut faced stiff competition in the prestigious awards – 548 entries were received from 21 countries – and was the only South African wine among the winners.
Boschendal will be ‘popping’ its own Boschendal Grande Cuvée Brut 2013 to celebrate the vintage’s win of a sought-after gold at the 2017 International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC).
UK wine writer Tim Atkin has released is South African wine report 2017 today and Boschendal has received some fantastic scores! The Boschendal Appellation Elgin Chardonnay 2015 will be poured and tasted at the official launch as one of the wines with 95 points so yet another accolade for this fabulous wine from Elgin.
Six of South Africa’s top sommeliers have selected Boschendal’s 1685 Cabernet Sauvignon for the prestigious Sommelier Selection 2017 wine list. The richly, intense red was selected in a blind-tasting for the Voluptuous and Rich category, with its prominent black fruit, elegant spice, structure and well integrated tannins.
