The Classic Collection

This range is the foundation of Boschendal. A portfolio of wines each with their own reason for being endorsed by Boschendal. The range takes the consumer on a journey of discovery of Boschendal over the centuries telling stories behind the people, places and history behind the wines. A veritable tapestry of history distilled into the statement ‘Creating history since 1685’. Each wine has its own individual brand name, descriptive copy and visual device to further enhance their standalone status.

Le Bouquet

Glistening gold with a flourish of fruity and floral fragrances including pink lady apples, litchi, papaya, roses and honeysuckle that blossom on a mouth-filling sumptuous palate brimming with juicy pear, peach and ripe citrus flavours all perfectly balanced with a touch of sweetness and a fresh, fruity finish.

Blanc De Noir

A real Boschendal classic styled for immediate drinking. We recommend best enjoyment within a year of vintage whilst young and lively, although the weight and concentration will allow for up to 3 years in the bottle.

Boschen Blanc

Lively golden with a youthful green glow on appearance, before a flourish of gorgeous peachy, pineapple, pear and Cape gooseberry aromas tinged with feint honeysuckle, lemon and orange blossom fragrances that all translate with freshness and zeal on a lively, fruity palate, beautifully balanced for great drinkability.

Rachelsfontein Chenin Blanc

This fruity, well-balanced, full bodied wine is distinguishable by its exotic mango, apricot and pineapple aromas on the nose.  On the palate, there is a core of fruit with hints of nuts and honey. The ideal wine for an al fresco summer lunch, lightly curried mussels, chicken, fish casseroles and in general Asian dishes.

Jean Garde Unoaked Chardonnay

Pale gold, bright and lively, with outspoken attractive aromas centred on pure lime and yellow fruit, tinged with fragrant spring flowers. The palate bursts with lush, ripe, fleshy peach and melon fruit. A balancing, citrus freshness leaves a deliciously riveting finish.

Great ruby depth of colour with a youthful pink rim; generous dark berry aromas including black cherry, mulberry and ripe plum, brushed with savoury oak spice and intriguing etchings of minerality on the nose, yielding to a soft supple entry with overtly fruity flavour intensity well supported by firm ripe tannins right through to a smooth slightly textured dark berry finish.

The Rose Garden

Attractive soft pink with enticing crushed raspberry, ripe strawberry, red cherry and a floral hint of rose petal on the nose that carries through to a lively mouthful of summer berries finishing with juicy succulence. Well balanced with tremendous fruity friendliness although still fresh and dry.

A classic Bordeaux styled blend intended for immediate drinking. We recommend best enjoyment within a year or two of vintage whilst young and vibrant, although the weight and concentration will allow for up to 5 years in the bottle.
